Position Summary
We are seeking a Full-Time Sewist to join our in-house production team in Hendersonville, TN. This role is responsible for sewing and assembling packs and related gear, supporting pattern development, and maintaining consistent quality standards. The Sewist will work closely with and report directly to the Founder/Owner.
Key Responsibilities

Operate a variety of machines and tools in the production of components, sewn products, and various accessories

Maintain high attention to detail throughout the production process ensuring and upholding our optimal quality production standards.

Responsible for producing pieces and projects in the proper quantity as identified by the production schedule.

Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup.

Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications and in a timely fashion.

Perform quality control checklist procedures to ensure the quality of the product packaged.

Recognize defective materials for color, surface blemishes, finish, and dimensions.

Inspect the condition of fabrics and component parts for damage and wear.

Inspect machine and tools and input a maintenance repair form as needed.

Maintain clean and organized work area.

Communicate with team members and founder.

Maintain professional attitude offering support to team members.
Required Qualifications

Basic sewing experience (e.g., clothing, bags, accessories, or similar sewn products)

Ability to learn new machines, techniques, and production processes

Strong attention to detail and consistency

Ability to work independently and as part of a small team

Reliable attendance and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications

One year or more of sewing experience (preferred, not required)

Experience sewing bags, packs, or technical fabrics

Pattern making or pattern adjustment experience

Familiarity with industrial sewing environments
We are willing to train the right candidate who has foundational sewing skills and a strong willingness to learn.
Work Schedule & Compensation

Full-time, 40 hours per week
